No. 4 Seeded BC Falls to No. 5 Seeded Virginia

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - No. 4 seeded Boston College fell to No. 5 seeded Virginia, 2-0, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship.

After an hour and a half delay due to wintry weather, the Cavaliers got on the board in the first quarter. UVA tacked on another goal in the second period, and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

During the third quarter, the Eagles were awarded a penalty stroke. Sky Caron took the opportunity but was deflected by Virginia goaltender Tyler Kennedy.

Late in the fourth quarter, after Jaime Natale was issued a green card, BC pulled goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy out of the cage to even the numbers.
