CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Patrick Shea flipped a backhand off Spencer Knight from the right goal line with 48.5 seconds left in the extra session to hand Maine its second straight overtime victory at Kelley Rink on Saturday night.
The Black Bears edged the Eagles 3-2 to sweep a weekend series in Chestnut Hill. Maine improved to 12-9-4 (6-7-2 HEA), while BC dropped to 15-7-0 (9-5-0 HEA) following its first consecutive defeats since October.
Boston College heavily out-shot Maine for the second straight night (38-25), but special teams favored the visitors in the series finale.
