No. 2 Boston College Women’s Lacrosse Routs Colorado 21-9

There wasn’t a lot of doubt Sunday afternoon on Newton Campus as to who the better team in the NCAA women’s lacrosse second round matchup played at the Newton Lacrosse & Soccer Field.

After the No. 2 Boston College Eagles and Colorado Buffaloes played to a 3-3 deadlock early in the first half, the Eagles pulled away, conceding only one more goal in the first half, and winning the game 21-9.

Sam Apuzzo had a day to remember in the matchup. The Tewaaraton Award finalist scored seven goals on 10 shots on the day, and contributed an assist as well.
