No. 14 UMass Lowell Edges Fourth-Ranked Eagles 3-2

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Marek Korencik's left point shot found the upper right corner through a screen with nine minutes left in regulation, lifting No. 14 UMass Lowell past fourth-ranked Boston College 3-2 on Friday night at Kelley Rink.

The teams split their two-game regular season series, each winning 3-2 on the other's home ice. The Eagles fell to 16-8-1 (10-6-0 HEA), while the River Hawks improved to 14-7-5 (8-4-4 HEA).

Along with Maine, the two teams are locked in a three-way tie for second place in Hockey East with 20 points, two back of UMass.
