No. 11 Virginia Pulls Away Late from BC in ACC Opener

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 11 Virginia won the final three singles matches and pulled away for a 5-2 victory over Boston College on Sunday at the Connell Recreation Center.

The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 7-1 (0-1) following their ACC opener. The Cavaliers improved to 5-0 (1-0).

UVA clinched the doubles point with a tight 7-5 victory on court two from Natasha Subhash and Sofia Munera over Elene Tsokilauri and Laura Lopez. Kylie Wilcox and Yufei Long were dominant once again in first doubles with a 6-1 win over Amber O'Dell and Chloe Gullickson.
