WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Boston College played a tight match with ACC rival Miami, but ultimately fell to the Hurricanes 5-2 on Sunday morning at the Weymouth Club.
BC dropped to 4-5 overall and 2-5 in ACC conference play, while Miami improved to 5-5 (3-3 ACC).
Miami grabbed an early 1-0 lead as Estela Perez-Somarri and Isabella Pfennig clinched the doubles point in the No. 1 matchup over BC's Yufei Long and Kylie Wilcox 6-3.
Four out of the six singles matches that followed went to three sets. Freshman Marice Aguiar defeated Daevenia Achong 6-3 in a third set to clinch an undefeated ACC weekend in singles and doubles.
