McLaughlin Powers No. 2 Eagles Past UNH with Shorthanded Overtime Winner

DURHAM, N.H. – Captain Marc McLaughlin snapped a shot high glove side on a partial breakaway to beat Mike Robinson for a shorthanded game-winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime on Sunday at the Whittemore Center.

No. 2 Boston College pulled out a 3-2 road victory over New Hampshire to split a home-and-home series. The Eagles improved to 6-2-0 with two Hockey East points, while the Wildcats fell back below .500 at 3-4-1.

McLaughlin finished the contest with a multi-point performance on a goal and an assist. The junior was plus-2 and won 15 of his 22 faceoffs on the night for BC, which never trailed.
