HANOVER, N.H. – No. 20 Boston College scored four straight goals and secured a 4-2 victory over Mercyhurst on Thursday afternoon to open the 32nd Ledyard Classic at Dartmouth's Thompson Arena.
The Eagles extended their unbeaten streak to five games (3-0-2) and improved to 9-5-3 (5-3-2 HEA) overall. BC will face the winner of the New Hampshire vs. Dartmouth nightcap on Friday at either 4 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. in the Championship Game.
Jack McBain netted a pair of goals to give the senior 11 on the season, while Nikita Nesterenko posted a pair of assists.
