Matt Gaudreau Signs AHL Deal

Former Eagle Matt Gaudreau signed an AHL contract with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers earlier today, returning to the team after a brief stint with them last year. This will be the second year of Matt’s professional career after four years with Boston College, one that he hopes will eventually see him playing in the NHL with his older brother Johnny.

Gaudreau’s first professional season saw him play nine games in Bridgeport where he managed just one assist. He had a better time in the ECHL with the Worcester Railers, however, where he put up 12 goals and 15 assists in 38 games, good for sixth on the team in scoring.
