NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 9 Boston College field hockey team remains undefeated at home after defeating conference foe and 10-ranked Virginia, 2-0, Friday evening in Newton. Junior goalkeeper recorded her third shutout of the season with the win.
The Eagles stayed dominant in the offensive zone throughout the beginning of the first half. While Virginia had many opportunities to bring the ball into their zone, the Eagles held a strong force regaining control. and Elizabeth warner had solid shots but couldn't get past goalkeeper Carrera Lucas. The Cavaliers pulled the only corner of the first half, but the shot was blocked.
