Former Boston College golfer John Jackopsic is having a solid summer on the golf course. A native of West Hartford, Jackopsic was second at the 115th US Amateur in Kensington, Conn as he shot a 68 and 69 in the qualifier on Tuesday at Shuttle Meadow Country Club. He will compete in the US Amateur Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois.
Jackopsic’s first round he had five birdies, nine pars and one eagle. In the second round of the day, he had 12 pars and four birdies.
