WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Boston College baseball team suffered a 22-9 loss to Wake Forest at David F. Couch Ballpark on Saturday evening. The Eagles (10-7, 2-3 ACC) led 5-0 in the fourth before the Demon Deacons (11-9, 2-3) got a two-run home run in the bottom half and then erupted for six runs in the fifth.

Junior right-hander Matt Gill (Simsbury, Conn.) ran into trouble after facing the minimum through three. Wake first baseman Bobby Seymour got to him for a two-run homer, the first Deacon hit of the day, in the fourth.
