Lonergan's Hat Trick, Watts' Four Points Lead Eagles Past UVM

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore recorded her first career hat trick – and collected four points – and freshman had a hand in every goal as the No. 3 Boston College women's hockey team earned a 4-2 win at Vermont on Sunday afternoon. The victory at Gutterson Fieldhouse was the Eagles' first in Hockey East play this season.

made 20 saves in the win, the 52nd of her career in Hockey East play to match the league record, originally set by Melissa Bourdon (UNH '08). BC out-shot the Catamounts 37-22 on the day.

Lonergan gave Boston College (4-0-1, 1-0-1 HEA) the lead going into the first intermission with her strike at 19:33 of the first period, but Vermont (2-5-0, 1-3-0 HEA) responded at 14:53 of the second to send the teams into the third period knotted at 1-1.
