CHICAGO – Boston College women's soccer alumna Kristie Mewis has been named to the United States National Team that will compete in the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia. Mewis was one of first three players to be on the roster on the TODAY Show on Wednesday morning, with the rest of the squad set to be announced later in the day.
This marks the first World Cup roster for Mewis.
The USWNT will play a sendoff match against Wales on July 9 in San Jose, Calif. before beginning the tournament in earnest on July 22 against Vietnam in New Zealand.
