CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List as announced by the Maxwell Football Club on Monday evening. The award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert "Tiny" Maxwell, who was a former standout at Swarthmore College and a renowned sports writer and football official.
Jurkovec, who is on the watch list for the second consecutive years, is one of 12 representatives, including seven quarterbacks, from the ACC on the 85-player list.
