Johnson's OT Strike Powers Eagles Past Syracuse

NEWTON, Mass. – Callum Johnson powered Boston College to their first ACC victory of the season on Friday evening, slotting home the game-winning goal minutes into the first overtime period against Syracuse.

The sophomore entered the match in the 61st minute and remained on the field until the end to put Boston College (5-8-0, 1-5-0 ACC) on top for good, and grant them a much-needed three points in the ACC standings, leapfrogging Syracuse (5-7-2, 0-5-1 ACC) in the conference's Atlantic Division.

Henry Balf got the Eagles on the scoresheet in the first half, notching his first goal since September 2015 to put BC up by one.
