BATON ROUGE, La. – Natasha Irani and Yufei Long each collected singles victories on Saturday during Day 2 action at the Tiger Fall Classic at LSU. Irani earned a straight set victory over LSU's Taylor Bridges 7-6(1), 6-3, while Long needed three sets to defeat Anna Loughlan of the Tigers 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.
"Natasha won this match through determination" said associate head coach John Sherwood. "Coming from behind in the first set to win the tiebreaker really set the stage for Natasha's success in the second set. Natasha's fight was Classic Eagle.
