WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College junior Abigail Levy has been named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the league.
Levy backstopped the Eagles to a 2-1 overtime win over No. 10 Providence on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink. The goaltender stopped 30 of the 31 shots she faced, including 13 in the second period. Levy posted a 0.96 goals against average and a .968 save percentage in what was BC's ninth consecutive win.
