STOWE, Vt. – Sophomore Trent Gutstein led the Eagles and finished 15th overall as the men's alpine team placed ninth in the slalom on Gutstein's home hill at Stowe Mountain Resort over the weekend.
His second run in the slalom was the sixth-fastest overall at the UVM Carnival. Men's junior captain Chris Bertram finished 21st among college racers.
"I was pleased with the overall effort and improvement of the team. We haven't had a lot of opportunities to practice on a hill like Stowe that has a long, steep, and firm track," said head coach Chuck Carmone.
