WAKEFIELD, Mass. — Boston College sophomore Alexie Guay has been named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the league.
Guay tied for first in the country and led Hockey East in goals on the weekend with three. The defender also tied for first in Hockey East with a plus-4 rating while also registering nine shots on goal and one blocked shot over the two-win weekend for the Eagles.
On Friday, Guay potted her second goal of the season early in the third period of the eventual 3-2 win over Holy Cross.
