AMESBURY, Mass. – Following a 2-1 victory over defending national champion Quinnipiac, sophomore Cutter Gauthier (Player of the Week) and freshman Jacob Fowler (Goaltender of the Week) have earned weekly awards from Hockey East.
Gauthier scored the game-winning goal against the second-ranked Bobcats with 9.5 seconds left in overtime on Saturday night at M&T Bank Arena. He led all skaters with eight shots on goal in the game and netted his 17th collegiate goal in his 33rd game.
Fowler picked up his first collegiate win in his NCAA debut, stopping 29 of the 30 shots he faced against Quinnipiac.
