CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – A pair of Boston College football players were named to top-watch lists for major awards at their position since Wednesday beginning with redshirt-junior running back Pat Garwo III (Levittown, Pa.) on the Doak Walker Award Watch List for the nation's best running back. On Thursday, senior wide receiver Zay Flowers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) was included on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List; recognizing college football's outstanding receiver in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
Garwo rushed for 1,045 yards in 2021 to become the 19th player in BC history to surpass 1,000 yards on the ground and record the program's 24th overall 1,000-yard season by an individual.
