Emma Guy is BC Interruption’s Most Improved Female Player for the 2018-19 Season

This was a season of improvement for the BC women’s basketball team, as the Eagles played their first season under new head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee. Of all the Eagles who thrived under Coach McNamee’s leadership, Emma Guy seems to have thrived the most of all, and for this reason she is BCI’s most improved female player. She beat out fellow nominees Cara Urbank (lacrosse), Olivia Vaughn (soccer), Clare Naughton (volleyball), and Dempsey Arsenault (lacrosse) for this honor.

As a freshman, Guy scored 170 points and had 118 rebounds in 30 games. Last season, during which she missed a chunk of games due to injury, Guy scored 143 points and picked up 112 rebounds.
