Early Lead Falls Short to UVA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-- Boston College fell in game two of the three game series against the University of Virginia Friday afternoon at Palmer Park.

The Eagles were first on the board early in top of the first inning with runners on first and second, a Jules Shields single and a fielding error brought Nicole Giery through home plate. The momentum continued for the Eagles in the third inning, with bases loaded and two outs on the board. With Emma Jackson at the plate and Jordan Stephens on first, the Cavaliers catcher threw an error attempting to pick off Stephens allowing Hannah Slike to advance through home plate.
