Anderson’s eight strikeouts not enough to top BU

BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College dropped a tight contest with Boston University on Wednesday afternoon 3-2 in eleven innings.

Susannah Anderson threw 5.2 innings of scoreless relief before BU laced a single up the middle with two outs in the bottom of the eleventh to walk it off. Anderson struck out eight Terriers and allowed five hits and the final run.

On offense, freshman Hannah Slike picked up two hits and was responsible for both of BC's runs, crushing an RBI double to right in the sixth inning to tie the game at two.
