Every February, the Boston College women's basketball program selects a special day to take part in the "Play4Kay Initiative" along with all the women's college basketball programs across the country to raise awareness for breast cancer.
On Saturday, Feb. 16, the Eagles will host Clemson in what is not only be billed as the "Play4Kay Initiative" game but the program's Alumnae Day, to honor the many women who helped build the program.
This year, the game has more meaning as Boston College will honor alumna Clare Droesch, who passed away in the summer of 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
