BOCA RATON, Fla.-- Boston College defeated Rhode Island with a 3-1 victory at the Joan Joyce Field at the Owl Classic, Saturday morning. Pitcher headlines the Eagles with seven strikeouts on 100 pitches in six innings. Letting up just two hits and one run, and striking out the first six batters faced.
The Eagles lit up the board early in the top of the first with a double by Hannah Slike, a fielding error on a Nicole Giery hit brought Slike through home plate. The Eagles made quick work of the Rams going up 3-0 in the third inning off of a Slike homerun bringing Jules Shields through the plate.
