Eagles Swept by No. 8 Virginia Tech

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team was swept by No. 8 Virginia Tech with a 6-4 loss on Sunday afternoon at the Harrington Athletics Village. For the third day in a row, the Hokies (28-9, 12-7 ACC) put a crooked number on the board to break a tie in the sixth inning or later as catcher Cade Hunter ripped a two-out, bases-clearing double in the seventh.

The Eagles (15-25, 3-18 ACC) twice battled back from a deficit to tie, but registered just one hit, a home run by junior catcher Parker Landwehr (Baltimore, Md.
