Eagles Split Doubleheader in Return to Fort Myers

Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. – Boston College softball's late inning rally helped beat Austin Peay State 4-2 in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. Both the Eagles and Governors are 4-3 after Friday's games.

Sophomore infielder Nicole Giery got the Eagles on the board with a bases loaded ground out in the top of the first. Junior Abigail Knight added to the lead with a sac fly to right two pitches later.

After the first inning, the Eagles were held scoreless until the top of the seventh, when freshman catcher Hannah Slike broke the tie game with an RBI double that scored Ellie Mataya.
