Eagles Set to Face Merrimack in Home-and-Home Series

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 14/15 Boston College faces off against Merrimack in a home-and-home series this weekend. The Eagles and Warriors clash on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Lawler Rink before meeting again at Kelley Rink on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Both games will be streamed live for free on SportsLive, and radio coverage begins 15 minutes before faceoff on WEEI 850 AM and BCEagles.com.

Jack McBain is riding a career-high eight-game point streak to begin his senior season
• McBain was named the Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday and the Hockey East Player of the Month for October on Wednesday
• McBain leads Hockey East and ranks eighth nationally with 14 points through eight games
• He ranks second with 29 shots on goal and is tied for the most power play goals (3)
• The Toronto native has multiple points in five of his eight outings this season

NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP
• Sophomores Eamon Powell and Colby Ambrosio assisted on classmate Trevor Kuntar's late game-winning goal last Saturday in the third period in Vermont
Trevor Kuntar had a career-best five-game point streak (1-4-5) snapped last Friday but has a point in six of his eight games this season
• Ambrosio has a 3-3-6 scoring line this season with points in five of eight games
• Powell posted his first two assists of the season last weekend at UVM
