EDMONTON, Alberta – For the first time in program history, Boston College will have players on both sides of the Gold Medal Game at the IIHF World Junior Championship tonight as the United States faces Canada at Rogers Place. NHL Network will carry the game live at 9:30 p.m. (ET).
Four BC sophomores will compete for World Junior gold as Americans Matt Boldy, Drew Helleson and Spencer Knight square off against Alex Newhook from Canada. Seven different Eagles have earned a total of eight gold medals in the history of the World Junior Championship.
