BOCA RATON, Fla.-- Boston College fell to FGCU in the last match-up of the Owl Classic, Saturday afternoon at the Joan Joyce Field.
The two teams were evenly matched with both teams scoreless until the fifth inning where a FGCU sacrifice fly brought a runner around home plate. The Eagles responded in the sixth inning while Jordan Stephens was on second base a Zoe Hines hit brought Stephens sliding into home plate. The game continued into the eighth inning with FGCU attacking early, adding on two runs. The Eagles were unable to answer in the bottom of the eighth.
