Eagles Host Senior Night, Close Regular Season Against No. 9 UMass

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College and No. 9 UMass close the regular season this weekend with a home-and-home series, beginning on Friday night at Kelley Rink at 7 p.m. on NESN. The series concludes on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at the Mullins Center on NESNplus. Massachusetts is the last Hockey East school that BC has yet to face this season.

SENIOR NIGHT
• Boston College will honor seniors Marc McLaughlin, Patrick Giles, Jack McBain, Jack St. Ivany and Casey Carreau, graduate students Eric Dop, Brandon Kruse, Sam Sternschein and Justin Wells, and senior manager Ryan Keator prior to their final regular season home game on Friday night
• The five seniors in the Class of 2022 have played a pivotal role in helping the Eagles win two Hockey East regular season titles with nearly 70 total victories in the last four years
• The senior class has combined for 58 of the team's 102 goals this season (57%)

PLAYOFF PICTURE
• Boston College will close out the regular season this weekend against first-place UMass
• The Eagles are eighth in the league standings, one point ahead of UNH in ninth
• Boston College and New Hampshire are locked to face one another in the Hockey East Opening Round, which is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9
• If the standings hold this weekend, BC would host UNH at Conte Forum next week
• UNH holds the tiebreaker on BC after sweeping a home-and-home in mid-January

SERIES HISTORY
• Boston College leads the all-time series with UMass 68-17-3, including a 32-8-1 head-to-head advantage dating back to 2008, heading into the 89th all-time meeting in series history
