NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 22 Louisville Cardinals scored two first half goals and fended off a late Boston College push to hang on for a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon at the Newton Campus Fields.
Emina Ekic scored in the 14th minute of play and then she assisted on a Delaney Snyder goal in the 33rd minute to put the visitors up by two at the break. Goalkeeper Allie Augur kept the Eagles within striking distance with a big save five minutes into the second half, extending through the air to her right to snag a close-range shot.
