Eagles Fall in Overtime in ACC Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The seventh-seed Boston College field hockey team fell, 3-2, in overtime to the No. 2 seed Duke at Trager Stadium in Louisville, Ky., in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships. The 12th-ranked Eagles (11-8) came back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game with the second-ranked Blue Devils (16-2), but could not capitalize in extra time.

Duke scored two goals in the first eight minutes to take an early lead but the Eagles stormed back. Freshman Maddy Dorn scored her first collegiate goal on her first collegiate shot in the 49th minute.
