ORONO, Maine – The Boston College women's hockey team fell in overtime to the University of Maine on Saturday afternoon at Alfond Arena. Tereza Vanisova scored for Maine with 34 seconds remaining in overtime for the 2-1 win.
Maine scored just over five minutes into the first period and took that 1-0 lead all the way to the third period. 12th goal of the season pulled the Eagles even early in the third period.
The Black Bears tested early in overtime, pushing the BC goaltender to make four saves, before Vanisova ended it in the final minute.
