FORT MYERS, Fla.-- The Eagles defeated LIU with a 3-0 victory at the FGCU Softball Complex, Friday afternoon. The Eagles totaled six hits on 3 RBIs for the teams second match-up at the FGCU tournament.
The Eagles struck early in the bottom of the second, scoring three runs. Elisabeth Laviolette walked to first and advanced to second on an Emma Jackson single. Both reached home on a Gator Robinson 2 RBI single to left field. With Nicole Giery up to bat Robinson stole second, and a Giery double to right field took Robinson through home plate.
