SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Boston College women's cross country team opened the 2018 season with a statement, claiming the team title at the Nassaney Invitational with 24 points. Saturday's meet was highlighted by Eagles' sophomore , who won the 5K race in a time of 17:31.8.
Northeastern came in second place with 75 points while third-place Holy Cross finished with 111 points.
Three Eagles broke the 18-minute mark with Raftis leading the charge. Junior finished in second place with a time of 17:51.1 while senior came in third for the Eagles, rounding out the top four overall at 17:53.
