CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse sophomore goalie Shea Dolce was named the IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
It's the second national weekly award this season for the Darien, Conn., native and the fourth overall weekly honor.
Dolce stopped nine shots with a .500 save percentage in the 14-9 quarterfinal win over Michigan last Thursday. She made timely stops throughout the game including a save at the end of the first half.
Dolce is first in the ACC and sixth in the nation with an 8.60 goals against average and first in the ACC with a .
