PHILADELPHIA – Boston College junior running back AJ Dillon was named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award by the Maxwell Football Club on Monday. The 83rd Maxwell Award will honor the Collegiate Player of the Year.
Dillon is one of seven players on the watch list representing the ACC and one of 10 players on the list that was a 2018 semifinalist for the 82nd Maxwell Award.
As a sophomore, Dillon was elected to the All-ACC First Team as he rushed for 1,108 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 10 games; becoming the first player in BC history to rush for over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons.
