CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior forward David Cotton was one of 14 players named to the 2018-19 New England Men's Division I All-Star Team on Thursday by the New England Hockey Writers Association. Cotton was also recognized with the Paul Hines Award as the most improved player.
Cotton and the other honorees will receive their awards during an April 17 dinner at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, which will also feature the presentation of the Gridiron Club of Boston's Walter Brown and Joe Concannon Awards.
Cotton finished the regular season atop the Hockey East leaderboard with 20 goals, four more than Alexander Payusov (UConn), Mitchell Chaffee (UMass), and Chase Pearson (Maine).
