CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior offensive guard Chris Lindstrom and junior cornerback Hamp Cheevers were named Third Team All-Americans by The Associated Press on Monday. It marked the first postseason All-America accolades for both players.
It marks the second All-America team this postseason for Lindstrom and the fourth for Cheevers. Both players were also named to the All-ACC First Team.
Cheevers tied for the nation's lead with seven interceptions in his first year as a starter for the Eagles. He tied for second on the squad with seven pass breakups as well.
