Boston College Women’s Soccer Alumna Laura Georges Retires From Play

Boston College women’s soccer alumna Laura Georges announced her retirement as a player earlier today. Georges, who played for Boston College from 2004-2007, has spent her professional career in France and Germany, playing for Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique Lyon, and Bayern Munich. She has also played from Team France.

Georges has the second most caps of any player on Team France, with 188. While at BC, she earned multiple honors including being named to the All-ACC First Team twice and winning the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2006.

In addition to being a leader on the field, Georges is a leader off the field and will likely continue to maintain a presence in the soccer world.
