Boston College women’s basketball’s thrilling ACC tournament run came to a screeching halt on Saturday, as NC State rode a hot second quarter to an 82-75 win.
The loss means the Eagles (20-12) now await the verdict of the selection committee, who will determine whether or not BC makes its first return to the Dance since Cathy Inglese roamed the sideline in Chestnut Hill. ESPN’s Bracketology had BC as one of the first four our going in to today, so they’ll be sweating this one out and keeping an eye on the scoreboard.
