Boston College Women’s Basketball Falls to Duke in ACC Opener

The Boston College women’s basketball team dropped to 5-5 today with a loss to Duke, falling to the Blue Devils by a score of 85-73.

The Eagles played pretty well today, they were just slightly outplayed by Duke. The Eagles competed on rebounds and while they had a lot of turnovers (19), Duke had more (25). The one area where BC really struggled and where the game really was lost was shooting accuracy - Duke shot 50% overall for field goals and for 3-pointers, while BC shot 35.7% overall and 21.9% from behind the arc.

The Eagles were largely led by their younger players, which bodes well moving forward as Coach MacNamee continues to bring in highly regarded recruiting classes.
