The Boston College women’s basketball team fell to #25 Syracuse this evening, despite a strong fourth quarter comeback attempt. The Orange took this one 71-64, but BC fought until the end.
The Eagles and the Orange made this a real battle of the defenses, as expected. BC took an early lead, holding Syracuse scoreless for nearly 5 minutes. Once Syracuse got going however, the Eagles began to have trouble keeping the Orange from scoring. Cuse took an 11-10 lead into the second quarter, and then dominated the second quarter to head into halftime leading 32-22.
By the third period, the Orange led by as many as 20 points, but BC began chipping away at that lead in the final period, cutting it down to the single digits.
