Boston College Women's Basketball Defeats UMass Lowell 66-55

Boston College women's basketball recovered from a sloppy first half with a dominant third quarter effort to top UMass Lowell 6x-5x on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum. The Eagles trailed 30-26 at halftime, but outscored UML 18-4 in the third to overcome the River Hawks and pull away for their fifth consecutive victory. With the win, BC is now 9-1 on the season, continuing their best start during the tenure of coach Erik Johnson.

The third quarter stats were pretty staggering, with BC holding Lowell to 1-for-15 from the field (6.7%) while shooting 57.1% themselves. During the second half, BC was able to consistently and successfully feed Mariella Fasoula and Katie Quandt, who were able to use their size and strength to score some easy layins.
