BC softball got its ACC schedule started this week with three game series against both the Duke Blue Devils and the Virginia Cavaliers.
Beginning the week in Durham, North Carolina, Ashley Obrest’s squad struggled, getting swept by the Blue Devils and combining for only eight runs over the three games.
In the opener, a 4-3 loss, the Blue Devils put up two runs in the first inning, which was an early attack that the Eagles were not ready for. Annie Murphy led the way with two hits. In the second game, the Eagles had a season high 12 hits and took a 5-2 lead in the middle of the fourth, but were unable to hang on to beat Duke, as Jessica Dreswick picked up her second loss in as many games.
