Despite taking an early lead over Natre Dame today, the Eagles ended up losing in the first round of the ACC Tournament by a final score of 9-5.
BC scored twice in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. Notre Dame tied things up in the third, but BC scored three more runs to take a 5-2 lead. Heading into the seventh and final regulation inning, BC held a 5-3 lead, but Notre Dame scored twice to send the game to extra innings.
Pitcher Jessica Dreswick was visibly tired by the eighth inning, and allowed 4 runs to give Notre Dame a 9-5 lead.
