Boston College Promotes Brendan Doris-Pierce to Head Fencing Coach

Following the retirement of head fencing coach Sydney Fadner this spring, Boston College has named Brendan Doris-Pierce as the head coach of the men’s and women’s fencing programs. Fadner retired after coaching the Eagles for 27 seasons.

Doris-Pierce has been an assistant coach with Boston College since 2011. He has also acted as recruiting director for the program for 5 seasons. Doris-Pierce, who specialized in working with the sabreurs as an assistant coach, also works as a sabre coach at the Boston Fencing Club. He has been with the Boston Fencing Club as an athlete and a coach for more than 20 years.
